our therapy space, together

What will our sessions be like?

My approach is a collaborative + guided one. You’ll have my warm, clear, compassionate presence available for us to start with whatever feels most present for you. You’re not sure where to start? I’m here as a gentle guide for those moments when you need a little extra support. Our work together will move at a pace that feels safe for you.

How do I know you’re a good fit to be my therapist?

People tend to like my: warmth, curiosity, compassion, and openness to learning/client feedback. People enjoy that my office has (many, many) plants, fidget toys and lots of natural light.

If you’re reading this and the vibes seem promising, schedule a free consultation with me - that’s the best way to see if we are a good fit.

Who do you usually work with?

I primarily work with college students, adults and teens who are experiencing high levels of anxiety and distress (for a variety of reasons!). These days it’s harder than ever to navigate the world - I work with folks who are looking for: extra support in daily stressors/broken systems and/or deep healing from past traumas and resulting burdens.

How do I know your office will be a safe space for me?

I welcome clients of any age, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, ability or cultural background. In addition, my parts-work approach is non-pathologizing and welcoming to all parts of you - even ones you’ve learned to be ashamed of.

How much experience do you have?

I have worked in a community agency setting providing services in homes and schools. I have worked with a community mental health agency run through the University of Georgia and have provided services to college students and the Athens community. I spent three years working at a non-profit counseling agency in Watkinsville, GA.  I opened Laurel Magnolia Counseling in March of 2020 with the goal of serving students, young professionals and adolescents in the Athens, Georgia area.

I have completed level one and level two trainings in Internal Systems Family (IFS). I am currently receiving consultation to become IFS certified and continue to seek continuing education opportunities to improve my proficiency in IFS.
