Stress is our response to an external situation. This could be anything: an upcoming test or project, financial troubles, conflict with a loved one, etc. Typically stress goes away once the external situation is resolved. But not all external situations are immediately resolvable. Some common experiences are:
Finding it difficult to use coping to unhook from stressful events and situation
Feeling overwhelmed by expectations of school/work/others
Feeling stuck and unable to make a decision about something
Therapy can help you gain greater access to inner and outer resources to help you in your response to stress.
